Ají Umba Yellow is a very hot Capsicum chinense of the Habanero type from Suriname. There it’s also called Ojemma or Adjuma. Their very large, golden pods develop a tropical, fruity aroma, just as you would expect it from a Habanero. Yet, the taste of Ají Umba Yellow is reminiscent of a ripe mango, even though with a significantly higher degree of heat. It will impress in hot sauces and chutneys as well as in an extra hot jam or dried as a powder. A great all-rounder that not only amazes Habanero lovers.
