Capsicum galapagoense is a very rare wild variety from the Galapagos Islands. Their stronly growing, large plants have grey-green leaves and hairy branches. Small white flowers are followed by small berries that ripen from black-green to orange-red and have a unique flavor. Their plants require a very long cultivation period and probably don’t even set any flowers in the first year of cultivation. Keep in mind that germination of seeds can take several months, even if they have been soaked in saltpeter.
