This wild variety was provided to Semillas by a member of the chili forum The Hot Pepper. The richly branched plants of the Chiltepin Tucson grow to a height of approx. 3ft in the first year of cultivation and develop a good fruit setting. The small and hot berries are usually cropped when they aren’t yet fully ripe. Afterwards, they’re dried. The dried berries are finally crumbled over the respective dishes.
