Dong Xuan Market is a rare hot pepper from Vietnam. It was discovered in the oldest and largest market on Dong Xuan Street in Hanoi, Vietnam. The very vigorous and productive plants of this Capsicum baccatum produce crunchy pods that ripen from light green to yellow, over orange to red. In Vietnamese cuisine, the pods are of course used for all kinds of hot noodle dishes, salsas and hot chicken. However, they’re also ideal for stuffing. Take out the placenta, blanche them and stuff them with cream cheese. Delicious!
