Heinz 1439 Tomato Seeds

Heinz 1439 is a classic processing tomato originally selected for the production of tomato products. The variety produces uniformly shaped red fruits with firm flesh and a high proportion of usable fruit pulp.

Heinz 1439 has a rich, balanced tomato flavour. The plants have a determinate, bushy growth habit, allowing much of the crop to ripen within a relatively concentrated period. Under good growing conditions, the plants can produce high yields.

Botanically, the variety belongs to the species Solanum lycopersicum. Its firm flesh makes Heinz 1439 particularly well suited for tomato sauces, ketchup, passata, soups and preserving. The ripe fruits can, of course, also be enjoyed fresh.
